PQA: Investing in Your Success & Well-being

At PQA, we understand that our dedicated employees are the driving force behind our mission. To empower you to do your best work and live a fulfilling life, we offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your total well-being—health, time off, financial security and flexibility.

Health Benefits

PQA offers robust medical, dental and vision insurance and covers a significant portion of the premiums for employees and family members. Employees are eligible for coverage on the first day of the month following their start date. Complementing these benefits are an employee assistance program and access to voluntary benefits including life, accident, hospital indemnity, legal insurance, cancer advocate, and whole life.

Paid Time Off

PQA provides employees with a portfolio of paid leave benefits that ensure employees have the opportunity to recharge away from the demands of work. PQA’s paid time off benefits include vacation days, sick leave, personal days, holidays (including the week between Christmas and New Year’s), paid parental leave and volunteer time off. This mix provides employees with great flexibility to manage their time away from the office and maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Flexible Work Environment

PQA has adopted a people-first approach to managing our workforce by providing employees the option to work remotely and/or from our office space in Alexandria, VA. We utilize modern technology to ensure our distributed teams can connect and contribute effectively every day. We’re intentional in our efforts to build a culture of shared purpose, connection, and inclusion by bringing our staff together several times each year for focused in-person collaboration.

Retirement Benefits

After three months of service, full-time employees become eligible to participate in PQA’s 401(k) plan. PQA will match your contributions on a dollar-for-dollar basis, up to 6% of qualifying compensation. This is our way of partnering with you to help build long-term financial security.

Disability Coverage

Life is unpredictable. PQA provides employees with short- and long-term disability coverage as an essential safety net. If a serious illness or injury prevents you from working, these plans ensure a significant portion of your salary continues, preventing a financial crisis while you focus on recovery.

Tax-Advantaged Accounts

PQA employees can set aside pre-tax dollars for qualified medical and dependent care expenses through our Flexible Spending Accounts and Health Savings Accounts.

Professional Development

We foster a culture of continuous learning with dedicated time and financial resources for training, certifications and participation in professional development opportunities.

Public Service Loan Forgiveness

PQA, as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, is considered a qualifying employer and employees may be eligible for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF).
