The self-nomination period for two PQA panels is now open. From September 30 through October 30, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. ET, PQA is requesting self-nominations from members who are measurement and clinical experts for two panels:
- Measure Update Panel (MUP)
- Quality Metrics Expert Panel (QMEP)
Nomination Process Timeline
- September 30 through October 30, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. ET: Interested and qualified individuals complete the applicable online self-nomination form
- November 19, 2026: Nominees are notified of their selection status
- January 2027: Terms begin
About the Panels
The Measure Update Panel (MUP) is a standing, nomination-based panel of subject matter experts that reviews PQA-endorsed measures to ensure they continue to align with current clinical evidence and guidelines and that the measures remain viable for use. The composition of the MUP reflects PQA’s membership and includes individuals with clinical or other technical expertise related to quality measurement. Members of the MUP serve in two-year terms.
The Quality Metrics Expert Panel (QMEP) is a standing, nomination-based panel of subject matter experts that reviews measure specifications and updates, measure testing plans and testing results, and assesses measures for endorsement and retirement consideration by PQA membership. The composition of the QMEP reflects PQA’s membership and includes individuals with clinical or other technical expertise related to quality measurement, as well as considerable experience participating in PQA groups. Members of the QMEP serve in three-year terms.
There are a limited number of seats available on each panel.

How to Apply
All self-nominations must be submitted through MyPQA. PQA does not accept self-nominations by email, mail, or fax. After reviewing the QMEP Nomination Information and the MUP Nomination Information, if you are qualified and interested in serving on either panel, please notify your organization’s key contact and complete the applicable online nomination form.

- Sign in to MyPQA or create an account.
- Select My Community Groups.
- Select the desired self-nomination form:
- PQA Measure Update Panel (MUP) Self-Nomination Form
- PQA Quality Metrics Expert Panel (QMEP) Self-Nomination Form
Note: The MUP and QMEP self-nomination forms must be completed in one continuous session and cannot be saved for later completion.
Submission deadline: To be considered for either panel, self-nominations must be received by Friday, October 30, 11:59 p.m. ET.
