Leveraging Data to Transform Anticoagulation Management
The Anticoagulation Forum’s Darren Triller explores system-level solutions over individual clinical effort, introducing the ADAPT framework—5 high-priority areas where pharmacists can drive measurable improvements in patient outcomes. Population health dashboards are enabling pharmacists to manage tens of thousands of anticoagulated patients, flag those most at risk, and deliver interventions backed by clinical outcome data.

Asking Patients About Medication Access
National patient survey finds cost confusion, prior authorization delays can derail care, but technology can unlock price transparency and improve access. Surescripts has released a new report, finding that 56% of patients face challenges accessing prescriptions, with cost, delays and prior authorizations cited as key barriers.

Filling Healthcare Gaps
Walmart Kevin Host’s discusses the retailer’s role filling healthcare gaps in the communities it serves. Host said the retailer’s large footprint – in urban and rural areas – make it uniquely qualified to address many of the issues that consumers face, including access and affordability. “In some of those communities, we’re not only the only pharmacy, but we may be the only healthcare providers that are within an hour or two of those communities.”
