PQA Opens 2026 Annual Measure Public Comment Period

PQA’s inaugural Annual Measure Public Comment Period is now open. From August 19 through September 18, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. ET, measure users and other interested parties are invited to review planned Measurement Year 2027 measure updates and measures proposed for retirement in 2027 and 2028.

During this year’s comment period, interested parties are invited to review:

  • Planned Measurement Year 2027 measure updates
  • Measures proposed for retirement in 2027 and 2028

PQA welcomes perspectives from health plans, health systems, pharmacy benefit managers, healthcare providers, pharmacies, researchers, patients, caregivers, public health agencies, industry, and other interested parties.

Resources

Comments submitted during the public comment period will be reviewed and synthesized to identify operational considerations, recurring themes, and opportunities to strengthen measure stewardship. Public feedback is an important input to PQA’s consensus-based process.

How to Submit Public Comments

All comments must be submitted through MyPQA. PQA does not accept comments by email, mail, or fax.

Getting Started

  1. Sign in to MyPQA.
  2. Select My Public Comments.
  3. Click Add A New Public Comment.
  4. Identify whether you are commenting as an individual or on behalf of an organization.

Completing Your Comments

  • Review each topic and respond only to those you wish to comment on.
  • Required questions are marked with a red asterisk.
  • Depending on the topic, you may be asked to:
    • indicate your level of support,
    • describe operational considerations,
    • identify potential impacts of measure updates,
    • suggest modifications, or
    • provide other feedback.
  • If you select “Support with Comments” or “Do Not Support” please provide additional feedback to help us understand the rationale for your response.

You may move forward and backward between sections before submitting your comments.

When you have completed all responses, select Submit.
