Jasmine Strayhorn, PharmD, CPHQ, is the Director, Pharmacy Quality Recognition Program at Pharmacy Quality Alliance (PQA). In this role, she leads the development and implementation of PQA’s Pharmacy Quality Recognition Program, an initiative designed to distinguish community pharmacies committed to continuous quality improvement, patient-centered care, and value-based practice. Her work supports community pharmacies in demonstrating excellence in patient care and positioning themselves for success in value-based care arrangements.

Prior to rejoining PQA, Strayhorn served as Senior Clinical Pharmacist at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina where she led value-based care programs supporting community pharmacies in delivering clinical services. Drawing on years of experience in community pharmacy practice, she leveraged data analytics, quality measurement, medication optimization strategies, and interdisciplinary collaboration to improve health outcomes, particularly in rural communities across North Carolina. Strayhorn previously served as a PQA Executive Fellow from 2022 to 2023 and brings experience spanning clinical service implementation in community pharmacy, chronic disease management, managed care, healthcare quality, and national organizational leadership. She is passionate about advancing healthcare quality and strengthening the pharmacy profession.

Strayhorn earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from North Carolina Central University. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and discovering new destinations. She is also an avid live music fan and can often be found attending concerts, from local performances to international shows.
