PQA is developing a set of standard pharmacy performance measures to evaluate the quality of pharmacist-provided care. PQA has created and endorsed five pharmacy-level measures that present a tremendous opportunity to fully leverage the potential impact of pharmacists as a driver of value and outcomes.
Crystal Lennartz, PharmD, MBA, and Steven Oh, RPh, from Health Mart Atlas, provided examples of pharmacy performance programs with positive payments tied to outcomes. They discussed opportunities to prepare for these sustainable models and demonstrate community pharmacists’ value to patient care.
