I’m pleased to invite you to join us in Baltimore at the 2026 PQA Annual Meeting, May 12-14! As we celebrate PQA’s 20th anniversary throughout the year and at the meeting, this special gathering will recognize the people, milestones and achievements that defined PQA’s success.
The meeting is more than a celebration; it’s a time where PQA members, stakeholders and quality leaders come together to advance ideas into action. Our general sessions will reflect on how far we’ve come, the current quality landscape and where we are going next. Learn more about the sessions and the meeting below.
We also highlight our members’ perspectives on women’s health, hypertension and immunizations. If you have news you’d like for us to spotlight in an upcoming Five For Friday, send us an email!

Championing Women’s Heart Health
Kroger’s Andrea Brookhart joined the PQS Quality Corner Show to celebrate Heart Health Month by exploring the critical link between community pharmacy, maternal health, and cardiovascular wellness. The episode explores pharmacists as an accessible ally, the “Silent Killer” and prevention, gender differences in cardiac care, the “Mom Factor,” and self-care.

Improving Hypertension for Medicaid Patients
Aetna Medicaid, a CVS Health company, and the National Association of Community Health Centers will partner to improve blood pressure control rates among selected Aetna Medicaid communities. “By collaborating with NACHC and community health centers, we can combine data, on-the-ground expertise, and evidence-based tools to better support blood pressure control and help members live longer, healthier lives,” Kara Odom Walker said.

Promoting Vaccination for High-Risk Seniors
ASCP leaders explain how consultant pharmacists are emerging as vaccine champions in long-term care facilities, where older adults face the highest risks from influenza, COVID-19, and respiratory syncytial virus. These pharmacists help design vaccination protocols, identify high-risk residents, and educate staff and families, while confronting vaccine fatigue and reimbursement barriers.
